Postgraduate course. Function of drawing in the creation of costumes and fashion
In this postgraduate course the student will be taught the necessary knowledge and skills for the creation of costumes: orders, budgets, organization and management, searching, researching, interpretation, clothing adaptation, project plannig and manufacturing costumes.
This postgraduate course has been designed for students or Fine Arts graduates, and design professionals that use drawing as knowledge or as a work tool.
Aims
- To analyze and understand the human figure as the essential basis of the costume and fashion.
- To adapt the methods, creation techniques and graphic representation to the fashion world. Shape, texture and colour.
- To improve creative enrichment through drawing comprehension, texture and colour, applying this to one costume project.
- To know how to carry out practical and experimental work from a drawing point of view as a theoretical-practical concept that would improve both personal expression and research in fashion projects.
Syllabus
The postgraduate course has 15 credits: 150 theoretical/training hours. When finishing the syllabus satisfactorily, the student will get a supporting diploma or a certificate (according to what is prescribed) issued by the Universitat de Barcelona
