Master in Fashion Design
This Master’s degree in fashion design is addressed to graduates in design or with a degree in design (fashion, graphic, industrial, product…), Bachelors of Fine Arts, Architecture and Engineering, with an interest in developing a professional career in the fashion industry.
Creativity, innovation and quality play a crucial role for the development of a competitive strategy in every company department. The aims of the commercial, communication and design team of a fashion company or firm must be focused in the same direction and they must know their market and clients when planning and creating a new collection.
When looking for employment or gaining promotion, it is more and more important not to stop training and to be fully aware of new market techniques and tools. Thanks to new technologies, new professions and specialities have been created that, along with the correct training, we can use in our favour.
Aims
To develop the creative capacity and technique that provides the student with the essential knowledge for creating a fashion collection, from the beginning, staging and market introduction.
The student will learn to design a collection for a particular context, taking into account all the elements that affect the fashion system and what communication and sales in the market involves.
Syllabus
The Master has 45 credits: 450 theoretical/training hours. The research project hours are not taken into consideration in this time calculation.
The syllabus consists of 4 modules:
- MODULE I: Creative process (26 credits)
- MODULE II: Product Image and positioning (10 credits)
- MODULE III: Master Final Project (9 credits)
- MÓDULO IV: Professional work experience (Optional)
