Master in Fashion Administration and Management
The internationalisation of Fashion is generating important changes in Business Management. For this reason a large group of employers have suggested to the Fashion Design School and Felicidad Duce Fashion, given their professional experience, to create a program that includes both creative and administrative training, for companies of the textile and fashion industry.
This Master’s Degree in Fashion Administration and Management is supported by the our college’s teaching experience and by the International level of the Fine Arts and Economic and Business Studies faculties of Barcelona University, with whom we have worked closely on the syllabus design, guaranteeing in this way both a structured modern updated teaching programme and a worldwide recognised degree.
It is also worth mentioning the importance of the textile industry, whose cooperation has made the development of a complete and a logical programme possible. Furthermore, it will provide students with deep and wide knowledge in the subject.
This Master’s Degree has been designed in accordance with the improvements suggested in the Bologna process and it is based on the principles of quality, diversity and competitiveness.
Aims
- To provide the necessary tools for managing a Business in the textile and fashion industry effectively.
- To know and understand the legal, economic and organizational frame that regulates businesses within the textile and fashion industry.
- To know how to analyse a business to be able to adapt to current needs.
- To provide the necessary creative capacity with the aim of developing new resources of management and business leadership.
Syllabus
The master consists of 50 credits: 165 theoretical/teaching hours, 180 training/teaching hours, and 155 hours planned for tutorial sessions, company visits and business fairs of the fashion sector.
The syllabus is structured in 4 innovative and practical modules as well as a final thesis including:
- MODULE I: History and fashion (25 teaching hours)
- MODULE II: Product, trends and fabrics (105 teaching hours)
- MODULE III: Fashion Communication and Marketing (80 teaching hours)
- MODULE IV: Business strategy (120 teaching hours)
- MASTER FINAL THESIS (15 teaching hours)
- WORK EXPERIENCE (optional)
Throughout this academic programme, training is carried out in different fashion sectors; textile, accessories, jewellery, perfume and cosmetics.
