Creation workshop: Moulage
Pattern making is key to be able to develop and create a successful collection, and a professional pattern designer must be able to understand the challenges and requirements of a modern fashion collection
In this course, the student will learn to design and create patterns using moulage technique: both the design and the pattern are designed on a mannequin or human being.
Previous basic knowledge of pattern making and garment assembly is required to enroll on this course.
Objectives
This course gives students the skills to develop creative techniques and assemble garments, using mannequins: pattern development, adjustments, cut, assembly and finishing.

Original Design Creation and Study
Creating samples on a mannequin
Study of textiles and materials
Textile movement. Fit: volume, folds, drapes
Technique and development of a base pattern, using a model created on a mannequin
Correction and adjustment of a base pattern
Cutting techniques
Assembly techniques
Study of finishing
