Headwear Design

Decades ago, forgetting the hat hat was so unusual as to forget the bag. Today, this accessory seems to have fallen into disuse, still relevant at certain times, either for its functionality, and its permanence in certain social events.

In this course you learn to perform a variety of headwear using different materials: felt, straw, fabric, ribbons, headbands, networks, etc. And unusual materials. The student will make sewing patterns for hats and cork mold hats and different prototypes of headwear.

Objectives

  • Provide students with the basic techniques to produce the headwear you want or need, without major technological infrastructure, and thus complement the design of their fashion collections.
  • Consideration will hat in its different versions: felt, straw, clothing, for men, women, show ... The requirements for the production of different headgear will present the methodology to follow: sponsorship and clothing, creation of molds for enmoldar felt or straw, apply the appropriate materials in each model and usage occasion, etc..

    Creative Process

    • Hat design as clothing line, trend, time, function, etc..
    • Volume and structure

    Construction Hat

    • Pattern
    • Development of cork mold
    • Choice of materials: felt, straw, textiles and other materials
    • Covers and frames
    • Manufacture and assembly of the hat. Using different techniques

    MODULE II: Touched

    Creative Process

    • Design played as clothing line, trend, time, function, etc..
    • Volume and structure
    • The headdress and jewelry
    • The headdress adornment

    • Developments minimalist or excessive
